Introduction
Dark Side of the Moon formed in September 2009 mainly by the efforts of FederalMan. The newest squad and the only one in history to ever win their very first squadgame together. Lingus calls them the "Nobles of Drama".
Profile
Dark Side of the Moon offers a well-balanced roster of different characters: From well-known vets to improving new players. From laid back carebears to the top dogs of Allegdrama. There should be a learning partner and a close buddy for anyone within our ranks.
We were probably the most liberal squad of the Free Allegiance Community. We try to provide a home for those, who rather want to stay themselves, than to subordinate under a set of rules. We are a group of gamingfriends, who stand together in solidarity without patronizing our members. While our goal is to play competitive in the squadevents, having fun playing Allegiance together is the main focus.

DSM was the newest squad in Free Allegiance and when recruiting, looked for skilled veterans and new players willing to improve to join the squad.

- Bring the required skill for squadlevel play. That means either you should be a well-known vet, or be deemed of good skill or potential.
- Be willing to improve and to keep improving.

- Have no qualms with working together with other squad members.
Achievements and Results
Squad Tournament 2009:
DSM discards after losing in the first two rounds.
6th of September 2009:
DSM wins its very first official squadgame link, the only modern squad that ever did so.
DSM went on to win its first three squad games.
Standing as of December 12th, 2009:
DSM was ranked 4th for a time using the Squad rank ELO system.
Merger
On January 15th 2010, FederalMan asked BS about the possibility of a squad merger. BS accepted and DSM was absorbed into Black Shadow. Black Shadow's results turned around after their reinforcement by DSM, leading to their victory in the Squad League (2nd Division). Next year they will join the top squads division.
