- Abbreviation: None
The miner is a drone ship which flys to a He3 asteroid, harvests it of helium, then returns to a friendly station where the He3 is converted into credits.
As the main source of income for the team miners' survival is essential to winning the game, and many game strategies revolve around securing safe mining sectors for yourself while denying them to the enemy team.
They require constant monitoring to:
- Ensure they don't sit idle inside a station.
- Ensure they mine efficiently, instead of harvesting near-empty asteroids.
- Ensure they don't run from minor threats.
- Ensure they are defended from major threats.
Each faction has three attributes which affect miner processing:
- Miner speed. By default it extracts at a rate of 1 He3 unit per second.
- Miner capacity. By default a miner can carry 90 units of He3.Verify
- He3 yield. By default each unit of He3 is worth 80 credits.Verify
So a default miner will give the team $7200 for a full load, which will take 1min 30 plus travel time.
