Abbreviation: fb, figb, figbee

Historically fighter bombers were fighter planes that were converted to carry bombs. The same is true in Allegiance and they should be thought of as "light bombers", as opposed to a fighter-bomber combo.

The design is based on the fighter hull, with a miniature turret slot added and room found for a single SRM anti base missile. The fighter bomber is found under the supremacy techpath and is mostly used against techbases, since sup already has the cheaper galvonic blaster to destroy minor stations.

The figbee is used in large groups, normally in conjunction with a tp drop. As a fighter its performance is sub par and, more importantly, during a dogfight it will be a high target priority for enemy pilots as they know your ship costs money.
