- Abbreviation: None
The carrier is a drone ship which acts as a support ship. It is often used to lead assaults into enemy sectors, although it rarely survives such encounters.
It acts as a small rip receiver, small and medium class ships can dock at it for reloads, and it relays the lead indicator.
Carriers and reloading
Carriers will repair your hull and shield, and refill your ammo, fuel, and energy reserves. They will also attempt to replenish you with all the equipment you launched from base with.
- It can reload missiles and dispenser items that are currently half empty.
- For example, if you had one seeker missile left out of the original rack of four, it will reload it back to 4.
- However it cannot load things directly into weapon slots.
- For example, if you originally had a rack of seekers mounted when you launched base but now your missile rack is empty, it will place the new rack of seekers in a cargo slot. Simply reload and dock again to become fully rearmed.
- It cannot replace items which cost money, even if you have credits. It will give you a rack of ammo instead.
