This Zone Game was a free for all, which was used to introduce the Ga'Taraan Federation.

GigaCorp emerged victorious from this particular engagement.

I've finally made it into aleph Chain 8 to get a firsthand look at the unknown forces which trounced the Iron Coalition last month. Unfortunately instead of meeting the newcomers, all I have been able to see is a Giga Corp fleet and wreckage from Bios and Belter craft and the mystery fleet.

Apparently I've arrived a little late to the system. My contacts in Giga Corp inform me that the Corp came out to conduct negotiations with the unknowns and ran into Bios and Belter forces also intent on making diplomatic contact with the new fleet. Noone is quite sure who shot first, or why, but the situation quickly spiraled out of control and and now Giga Corp possesses the the sole surviving fleet in the sector.

My Giga contacts inform me that the unknowns are human. Apparently they represented the advance fleet of some forgotten colonization project that has decided to return to Earth. They call themselves the Ga'Taraan Federation, but beyond that, I can't tell you much about them as there are none of them left. How the Ga"Taraan will resond to their advance fleet's destruction is anyone's guess.
