The 6th Zone Game took place on 6th December 2007

Factions: Factions: Rixian Unity vs Dreghklar Empire

In this Zone Game, the staff decided the pit the two alien factions against each other, as they had both proved themselves to be invincible in previous matches. The result was a Dreg rout, due to the imbalances of the faction on the GodII Core.

Now, you know I'm a proud Belter. In fact, I was featured in Anarchist's Monthly Top Ten Most Chaotic Anarchists at #6. But boy, do I feel sorry for the Iron Coalition. I even heard Captain Johnson resigned over the bungles committed by its fortnightly rotating Commander roster...maybe they should hire Admiral Chris "Spidey" Williams and the mysterious Admiral "Paradigm" for their next engagement.

In other news, we humans are getting a break from the alien menaces hellbent on turning the collective peoples of Earth into Jovian chop suey, because a covertly placed forward listening post on loan to the DataNet from our contacts in the BIOS hierarchy has just picked up a transmission by our buddies of the Order of the Bloody Lance.

Grandmaster Autumn Sel, we have most dire news from the Holy Seat of Intelligence. On a reconnaissance mission directed at probing GigaCorp defenses, our scouts picked up movements from Dreghklar controlled battle space. It would seem that our Venclan [Rixian term for "lizardly bastards"] friends are still rebuilding their forces from their narrow victory a month ago against the BIOS, GigaCorp and Belters.

This is a shining opportunity to mount our own offensive. The Dreghklar are weak and unprepared for our battle hardened forces, if this offensive goes well, our forces will have a much stronger position to consolidate and attack with in the future. Though the Dreghklar have been our longtime enemy, the Holy Seat of Intelligence and even most noble Issa Rix believe collective Humanity poses the greatest threat in the future.

Your target shall be the helium-3 rich cluster where the Dreghklar defeated the foolish humans a month ago. The Holy Seat of Intelligence has indicated that it is being manned by a mere two Battle Fleets, easy prey by anyone's standards.

Thanks to your brilliant management of our new position at Kuramancs, we are in an excellent military posture. We know your Order has not seen much combat in the last few months, so we will place your forces on duty. The Deathly Veil, however, are being rotated back to Rixian space, as we are having minor difficulties handling some troublesome non-sentient indigenous life in on a newly colonized planet. The Holy Seat of Warfare will requisition to you the fresh Farsight Archers, an Order that has just reorganized and is in dire need of actual combat experience. Do not be alarmed, Grand Master, with the guidance of your elite Lancers and the Archer's tempered eagerness, the Venclan will fall before your blessed ships.

Ascension, brother Autumn.

...disturbing stuff. Everyone with any sort of combat experience know the Rixians are not to be trifled with, but the Dreghklar have an even more bloodthirsty reputation. If the Rixians succeed in this new venture, they will almost certainly be in the best combat and economic shape out of all the factions. I can only hope that the aliens destroy each other in the coming battle.

From the edge of humanity, Patrick Ryda, out.

>>Angel_Of_Death:######:56002: Alien on alien, eh? That Patrick Ryda sure has a sick sense of humour. Do the Rixians even procreate? I know the Dreg probably lay eggs or something.

>>astrod0m: 842:96:52091: Aw, Angel, get your head out of the air vents! I was on the initial contact team with Giga and last I heard they were trying to market Dreghklar eggs. The Rixians just... bud off one another or something.

>>Empty_Keg: 343:11:00058: Ah brilliant! Whoever loses, we win! Let's hope they really slug it out, then afterwards we can mop it up and bust both of them out of our home.

Damn. It appears that the Rixians are unquestionably the deadliest foe Mankind has ever, or will ever face! When the Dreg destroyed the Belters, BIOS and GigaCorp, we thought that they were a dangerous, but manageable threat. In the most recent engagement, two Rixian Crusading Orders annihilated two Dreghklar Battle Fleets in a mere forty minutes!! Dreghklar representatives have claimed that faulty military designs, allegedly from the "God Two Core" factories were to blame for their crippling loss.

In total, the Rixian forces made 272 kills with 70 ejects, while the Dreghklar only managed 182 kills, with a staggering 102 ejects. From the way the two Orders of War employed their Technological Combat Doctrines, it was evident that the Farsight Archers were still fresh out of training, electing to choose Expansion for the fabled Rixian Heavy Interceptors, while the Bloody Lance revealed their calm, methodical but unquestionably destructive skills by developing Supremacy technology and reaching across the map to destroy Dreghklar miners, constructors and small bases with elite two man teams of ripcord-enabled scouts and the rapier like Fighters.

On the other hand, the Dreghklar attempted to use Tactical, Supremacy and Shipyard technologies to fight back the Rixian onslaught, but with the heavy miner losses on both sides, neither Battle Fleet could advance far in the technology stakes.

An announcement by the Grandmaster of the Bloody Lance, Autumn Sel, was received this evening by a DataNet beacon.

Could any sane, living being claim the outcome of this battle was not foretold in the Heavens? We Rixian warriors are guided by the divine light of Ascension, defeat was not conceivable, especially not at the hands of the godless Dreghklar heathens. We heard the despairing shrieks of the Dreghklar as they fled for their miserable reptilian lives, abandoning their inferior, lizard-skin covered ships and bases to our glorious warriors. The bases we captured from the Green Battle Fleet will be more than adequate forward bases after they are upgraded with Rixian technology.

Humans, we issue one last warning to your military forces. Surrender now, and bask in the light of Ascension, lest you be destroyed. This is the will of Issa Rix. You would be wise to pay heed to his sage words.

Ascension.

As a veteran of two and a half wars and a registered mercenary, I believe the best course of action, or at least the smartest would be for the humans to join together and fight these Alien scumbags.
