Zone Game 13 took place on 8th March 2008.

Factions: Ga'Taraan Federation vs Belters vs Rixian Unity vs Dreghklar Empire

This engagement resulted in a Belters victory. DataNet reports are below:

Date: 08MAR2158/File: 00219 - The Rixians engage the Ga'Taraans! And other strange signatures.

Report filed by: "DataNet_MountedBurger"

Paddy Ryda, from the edge of humanity.

It looks like the GT are feeling somewhat cocky from their victory over the Coalition a fortnight ago. They have wisely secured outlying sectors, but it appears that they have been met with resistance! I'll let the intercept from our probe tell you everything.

Time: 0300 GST Date: 08MAR2158 Callsign (Sender): Se'Geln Rank (Sender): Chancellor of First and Second Expeditionary Fleets Callsign (Recipient): UNINDENTIFIED

---start intercept---

Hail, Unidentified Fleet!

We are the Ga'Taraan Federation. We have noticed your ships presence in this sector and request that you kindly surrender them. The human race, through their infighting, has created nothing but death and ruin. The Ga'Taraan Federation will free you.

Any resistance will be returned tenfold. We have already battled and defeated two Iron Coalition fleets. Do not think that you can stand in our way. It would be most beneficial for us all if you surrendered peacefully.

---end intercept---

Callsign (Sender): Autumn Sel Rank (Sender): Grand Master Force Composition (Sender):Crusader Order, insignia indicates Bloody Lance Callsign (Recipient): GATARAAN_FLEET

---start intercept---

Greetings Se'Geln of the Ga'Taraan.

Prepare to die.

Ascension, brothers.

---end intercept---

Well, Autumn showed that Ga'Taraan fool, didn't he?! I guess there's nothing left but to watch them tear each other apart. While I hate space bugs as much as the next Belter, I don't care much for geeks either.

In other news, our sensors have picked up strange movements from just beyond the probable GT and Rix encounter. It appears that two separate fleets have tailed the Rixian forces into the area. The irregular signatures produced by one fleet suggest that the presence of the Belters and their non-uniform ships. The other signature appears similar to the ones first picked up by Giga scouts last year. Could they be Dreg? Only time will tell.

From the edge of humanity, Patrick E. Ryda reporting.

>>Gimboid 1143:8834: I see you totally missed the Dreg fleet bearing down on them huh? I suppose us Belters'll have to get into the scrap too just to show the aliens how it's done.

Date: 20MAR2158/File: 00220 - Belters Announce Salvage Auction

Report filed by: Silent Truth

There have been a lot of transmissions stemming from the Rixians regarding their engagement with Belter, Empire, and Federation forces. There were rumors that Belters had an arrangement made with the Dreghklar, and I suppose the Rixians feel it is against some common engagement law to be attacked by two forces who had a pact. But whatever that pact was, it did not hold. Belters ended up surprising the Dregklar with stealth bombers after the Ga'Taraan Federation was eliminated. Dreghklar capital ships wound up stranded and after that it was only a matter of cleaning up.

The leader of that specific Belter fleet, Richard Caius, has contacted the DataNet with a public announcement:

As you may have heard, Humans have and will continue to triumph in the face of both aliens and new threats. As a result of a confrontation with two alien races and the new invaders identified as the Ga'Taraan Federation, we have not only secured a victory for Humanity, but exotic salvage as well. This announcement is to tell all human forces in nearby sectors that there will be an open auction in three weeks at the Fireburgh Free Port on Mars.

If you've ever wanted to check out Rixian pods, Dreghklar missiles, or some of that newfangled Federation technology, here's your chance. As this is a free port, come unarmed. We don't want to destroy all the salvage, do we?

Though this may sound like a bounty too good to pass up on, it would seem that our good friend Caius has failed to mention a couple of things. The Belters fleet took a mighty battering during the last major engagement and my sources tell me that they didn't salvage as much loot as they'd like us to believe. Furthermore the bedraggled fleet apparently is not alone.

Reports have been coming in of mysterious forces doggedly trailing the Belters task force after the battle. Although Caius refuses to admit anything as usual, it has become public knowledge (or it will be when you read this) that other factions are wary of this auction. GigaCorp, still smarting from their sticky end the last time they dealt with the Belters, has advised all its operatives not to attend the auction.

>>B1ue-luna 114543:12934: You just see, Giga will show up disguised as Belters. There's no way they're going to pass up an opportunity to get their grubby corporate paws on new technology.

>>Atomic_Dust 12:3453:2324: Usually Belters are the ones doing the harassing. These guys have gotta be pretty damn good to turn the tables on them.
