Steps to Start Playing

Installing

1. First read through the Terms of Service and Rules of Conduct. You will need to agree to them before creating a game or forum account. Reading them now can save you some time if you find you don't agree with them.

2. Get Allegiance

• Download Allegiance Setup.exe
• Run Allegiance Setup.exe and install Allegiance

Creating Accounts

There are two types of account Gameplay account and Forum account. The later is not neccessary to play the game, but inevitable if you continue to play.

• Create a new Game Account
  • If you do not create a Gameplay account you will be unable to log on to online games, but can still play the training missions and LAN games.
  • Please read the dangers of Linking Callsigns to another player's account.
• Create a Forum Account

Connecting to the Internet

• Login to the Free Allegiance servers using the Allegiance Secure Gameplay System (ASGSClient.exe).
  • This is the step which requires your Gameplay Account.
  • After installing there should be a link to ASGS on your desktop, called "Allegiance".

• Click on "Free Games".
• Click on "Current Games Listings".
• Choose the server you want to play on, and join it.
• Choose the team you want to play on, and join it.
• Now wait patiently for the game to start (unless it's already started, of course!).

Trouble Shooting

• If you have any difficulties, visit the Tech Support Zone.

What you should know BEFORE playing

• The Training Missions teach you to control your ship.
  • They are a necessary step to learning how to play...
  • ... but don't teach much on how to play the game (i.e. win). Consult the Learning Guide if you're interested in 'advancing to the next level'.
• There is a Newbie Server. Please start there.
  • Newbie Server – Find out where to find it and how to join it.
