The error: "Unable to retrieve key" is a "special" error that basically means that your computer is refusing to (or is unable to) generate the key that is required to access Allegiance. This error will usually only happen on a clean installation of the original version of Microsoft's Windows 98, and is due to the way Microsoft (mis)handled some PC98 devices in that version of the OS.
Since ASGS is unable to retrieve the key on these systems, there is an available workaround.
ASGS can read keyfiles and use them instead of attempting to retrieve them. In this way, ASGS can still log in by using a keyfile you place in your Allegiance folder.
This keyfile must be created by an Administrator, Tigereye. Send a private message to Tigereye, and kindly inform him that you are getting the "Unable to retrieve key" error. He will create a keyfile for you, and send it to you for placement in your Allegiance folder.
