DrStrnglv created a core that is mostly seen as an aside. Using Bacon's core, known as "Extended Allegiance" or "BaconCore," as a starting point, he included the idea that Mk3 level tech was not enough, and allowed for technology to go up to Mk5 (two levels of technology higher makes for brutal ships/weapons).
