Using your bomber for defence

Avoid defending in bombers, there are much better ships for the job that being said it is something that sometimes cannott be helped or is the only viable option available. So here are some tips an tactics for defending in a bomber.

Aleph Camping

You park your bomber around 1k-1.5k from the aleph. This gives you and your gunners optimum coverage. You should have a few racks of hunters too and a nan wouldn't hurt.

Con Escort

There may be a time when the commander sends a con along with your bomber, situation depending you will either be staying next to the con killing any attackers or flying away from the con to draw the enemies offence towards you. Protect your nans and once the con has built you may focus on other tasks.

Ripping home after offence

So you have just bombed an enemy base but while you were bombing the enemy team set up a bomb run of their own, lucky for you one of your teams probes just about spotted it. 1st get any pods that are near you >1.5 forget them. You rip in just in time as the bomber enters your sector, head towards the bomber with the objective to allow your gunners to shoot nans.
