Otherwise, once you're in the game lobby choose the team with the highest total rank. The total rank is displayed next to the teamname, along with the number of players on the team.

Joining the higher rank team means that you are probably joining the better team, and thus your lack of experience will help balance the team vs the weaker team. Whereas if you joined the weaker team, you would just make it weaker.

Once you have selected a team and clicked "Join Team", simply wait for the commander to accept you. He may be busy and forget your application so you can either ask him on All chat if he will accept you, or cancel your join request then re-click it.

However sometimes the higher rank team is not doing better in-game, and the commander will want a more experienced player. They should inform you of this on All chat.

If one team has more players than the other, you will usually not be able to join the team with more players.

Refusal to accept a new player and refusing to explain why is not acceptable within our community. If this happens to you then ask an @Alleg for help, or complain on the forums.
