The Tactical Laboratory is associated with stealth fighters and stealth bombers. A tac team relies on using sf to destroy their opponent's economy and then destroying their stations with sbs. Due to low armour of stealth craft and their inability to continuously damage an enemy ship, they are susceptible to being bombed.
The sb is very effective against minor stations, able to destroy them before the defenders can react, but against techbases multiple sbs must work together. They also have difficulty getting through camped alephs, and adv sf aren't very good at clearing them. This problem is compounded as with each station that is destroyed the have less alephs to cover. A tac team will often avoid revealing the fact they have sbs available and will make the enemy techbase the first target, thus destroying it at the same time revealing they have sbs.
Tac is fairly ineffective against shipyard tech, however the SY team is unlikely to be able to afford many capships as sf have destroyed their miners.
Tactical technology
The Tactical allows you to research stealth fighters, stealth missiles, weapons, and equipment.
The advanced tac allows advanced stealth fighters, stealth bombers, and more advanced upgrades.
Tac only has three Global Attributes (GAs): ship energy, EW range, and ship shield.
Station statistics
Information taken from CC_03. Values are representative only (many factions have had their stations individually tweaked for balance).
