The frigate is a super-sized bomber, its main function being to destroy enemy stations. Missile frigates cannot ripcord, but can use heavy signature cloaks to remain hidden for significant amounts of time. While stronger than a bomber a frigate is not a tank. If the enemy team spots it early it will most likely be destroyed in an aleph camp, just like a bomber.

Due to their low level in the shipyard tech tree they are sometimes used in rush strategies.
