...I have to ask...
Did you zoom in all the way when you made your observation? I've still have not connected to a lan line however, connecting to different wifi routers + using different configurations has not yielded any improvement.
I'd like to add that this appears to only occur when a position change takes place (my ship or the miner). Moving the nose of my ship does not create stutter, only when thrust is applied.

Firestorm - wired connection - confirmed stutter
Spidey - wifi connection - confirmed stutter

Well I really don't see it and "Everybody" is a shortcut, so far that's only 5 people.Wasp wrote:QUOTE (Wasp @ Oct 2 2016, 12:06 AM) Far from it? Everybody else sees it. Don't understand how you can't.
can you remake the same video but with alt-f active ?Wasp wrote:QUOTE (Wasp @ Oct 2 2016, 12:06 AM) and myself ofc - with video demonstration of stuttering
can you remake the same video on a version (dx7?) that doesn't stutter and with alt-f active ?
ok, 5% of the active community who have tested this, have stuttering. You're the only one yet who tested and doesn't have this problem. Can you produce a video of this NOT stuttering?KGJV wrote:QUOTE (KGJV @ Oct 2 2016, 09:14 AM) Well I really don't see it and "Everybody" is a shortcut, so far that's only 5 people.
Done, I have more videos of even larger stuttering visuals however; I'm looking for free hosts to put those videos up on. Blacksun StutteringKGJV wrote:QUOTE (KGJV @ Oct 2 2016, 09:14 AM) can you remake the same video but with alt-f active ?

I can not say that this is only related to networking however, that was my suspicion when I asked AEM to reveal the server update rate (no reply).KGJV wrote:QUOTE (KGJV @ Oct 3 2016, 03:37 PM) so the training mission (combat practice) doesn't have stuttering ? is it only related to networking ?
Miners in the training mission do not stutter, or at least, not in the same fashion. You can detect that miners in the training mission make micro movements when you, or they, are in motion but that appears normal to me. Online games on the other hand are totally obvious and annoying and even make targets difficult to track especially when zoomed in (such as with turretting).
I understand your point of view however, this may be linked to something bigger. There are two other issues that are indeed game breaking (lag and controller behavior) but those are almost impossible to demonstrate across forums. If they are related, then there's a chance of killing 2+ birds with one stone, if unrelated, at least the stuttering would be fixed.Terran wrote:QUOTE (Terran @ Oct 3 2016, 05:58 PM) i have never noticed this stuttering before but that's probably because i never zoom in when targeting. i personally wouldn't consider this the worst of the alleg bugs, but that's just me.
I assure you, that stuttering is not supposed to be there.
