2 Aleph systems are very easy to defend (only 2 alephs to camp) so if a team is turtling in one a game can be extended to a point beyond where it's fun.

However, there's no rules in mapmaking, just personal choice, so if you like it, stick with it.

14 sectors is only 1 more than HiHigher so no problem there IMO.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
