Finally been able to test out some of my new maps ive created. This next map is not for the allegiance 7th anniv battle.


Starworld


Basically i've taken the chokepoints from star and extended it quite a bit. Let me know what you think of this one.

Large and very connected.

Hmm. Moving the homes one towards the middle, and having the center only connect to the top and bottom adjacent sectors, and maybe having the midlo and midhi sectors devoid of rocks, those could be interesting. Mesial, don't go making a bunch of images for maps to display, I've got most of them already done. Also, keep in mind that some people might want a map to be on a specific server only, at least for a time, so it may not be something to host.

Let me know when you're ready, I'm pretty busy but I can finish up the other pre-2007 map pics and bundle them with the .igc files.

Hey Jg thanks for the feedback, I did like your idea,



The only thing i didnt do was make 2 sectors devoid of rocks, i wasnt quite sure of that. Anyway ive taken the connectivty down and lost a couple of sectors, let me know what you think now.

Hmm. You know, it might actually be much more playable with the homes top and bottom instead of left and right. Homes would be a little closer (2 instead of 3 sectors between). As for the rock thing, that was just a random idea, however, to do that in the future, you basically place one rock (asteroid, He, tech) in the sector and it disables the rock randomization so only the rocks you place are there (and exactly where you place them every game (like Dune for example).

I know how to make a sector devoid of asteroids thats easy, i just didnt like that idea. I guess it never came out like that /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

does this look like a neat map design?

had trouble finding a list of all the maps btw. If someone could linky me to something showing all the currently applied/used maps, my inability to find obvious things would be quite thankfull.

ps. If this map shape already exists, then i apologize before hand

Its ALMOST but not quite aces squared....

Try to keep things symetrical, it helps people see duplications and help with improvements
