Steam Version of Allegiance
It was nice to see you back in game Adaven!

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

my god, can we please get these assets in the steam build? just set the default to a reasonably modern PCAdaven wrote:QUOTE (Adaven @ Oct 19 2017, 09:13 PM) Do you also have the high(er) resolution files Quia pulled from MS's original Photoshop files? These have the advantage of maintaining the original look and feel, but with a modest (2-4x) increase in resolution.

Guess i need to post an update.
My texture pack, blows up allegiance by causing the DX9 render to go out of memory.
I have asked wasp to find a fix that imago made to solve this problem.
Will keep you informed

To be more exact, it's not clear it's actually a memory issue or some specific files that trigger a bug that manifests as a memory issue.Senor NoirSol wrote:QUOTE (Senor NoirSol @ Oct 30 2017, 02:31 PM) Guess i need to post an update.

I'm running with the 2K environments, planets and rocks and have no issues.
This is why I was begging for Steam DLC/workshop support.
If we had that, we could put out a lot of stuff and get back crash reports from people trying out various mod combos.

I had done extensive testing in conjunction with Imago before I got banned again, and had compiled the high res installer - nothing lead to believe that there were files in particular causing problems (we figured it might have been the Draconium models) and that the consistent way to generate crashes was just to add enough high res textures until it started causing crashes (which I managed without any of the first gen drac models, though they definitely were making the problem worse when implemented just due to their size)
