ACSS refuses to start (WinXP SP3), however Allegiance.exe started so I hoped though the training missions, and then spent considerable time in the Practice Arena. If i get some time today I'll try to post a short video.
In order to play online you need ACSS to start. I don't think ACSS works with Windows XP, but I may be wrong. I'm sure somebody else will know. As for the training missions, gameplay is different online. Opponents are smarter, Sidethrust are important to win and fights are not decided by dumbfires. My point is that the training missions only do so much and combat is different when it comes to live players. Do not judge the combat by the training missions alone.

Indeed I was! Sorry about the abrupt disappearance, customers showed up unexpectedly. That and I have yet to sit down and map controls adequately. I did manage to get ACSS functioning ( obviously, clean sweep of the PC and started over, we do have to do this on occasion in the pods... ) I am currently uploading some of my research videos to YouTube for everyone's viewing pleasure. I'll post a link here when they are ready.

Are you looking at making these pods play on public server, or do you have enough of these to run in a private server?

These would have to be hosted on a LAN server.
The pod network is not connected to the Internet. Except for my development system.
And the fact that no convention has any/reliable connection ( without paying the venue an insane amounts of money ) dictates that it be self contained. For convention use at any rate. I will probably add a second development pod so that we can get online with you guys to learn and lay out the control systems.

Any one here from Minnesota, or the central US?

Speaking of my research indicates that there isn't a LAN server for the current build, is this correct?

Our current inventory is sixteen pods.

Correct R7 does not have any LAN function.
It will be restored in R8 which is pending final testing.

You could also stand up your own lobby server + game server combo, which would get your pods visibility of the game server and also enable you to have a custom message of the day, and remove the need for ACSS. Requirements are pretty basic, you'd need a server machine (could be winXP) running IIS to serve the config files, and the lobby and game server services.
