Greetings,
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Cyd one of the operators from the Fallout Shelter Arcade in Minneapolis Minnesota.
I sit here writing this wondering how I hadn't found this game ten years ago... But I digress.
FSA operates a set of Virtual World Entertainment's Tesla II cockpits, also known as "Pods". Each pod contains 7 displays and 65 controls (Throttle, Joystick, Peddles, and 62 buttons).
I have always wanted/dreamed of an FPS/RTS that we could play in the cockpits where two commanders could duke it out by issuing orders to their pilots who are in the pods.
Allegiance may fit the bill and by putting a game as unique as Allegiance in the pods I would imagine we could draw significantly more attention at the conventions (such as GenCon and DragonCon) that we present at than we already do.
My first question to everyone here; Has anyone started talking to Microsoft's legal department yet? I have some contacts but don't want to step on anyone's toes.
Regards,
Frank "Cyd" Galatis

Hi Cyd welcome back!
At the moment, a member of our community, Cashto, is in talks, with MS, to allows us to switch to a more open license than the one that we are tied too now.
http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...71093&st=60 Read this topic starting from page 4, Looking for cashto's post.
By all means we welcome all the help we can get, so feel free to post in topic above or pm Cashto directly to coordinate your efforts.
You can view our current license here http://svn.alleg.net/svn/Allegiance/trunk/src/license.txt
In regards to your idea of Allegiance in VR, on many screens at once
Lastly I hope to see you flying in game soon.
You can apply to our cadet program here: http://cadet.freeallegiance.org/ lots of useful material to shake the rust off. :9
Again, welcome back!

A player known as Cashto bas started contacting Microsoft. I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't mind if you contacted them. The best people to talk to would be PKK and Cashto. PKK because he is our administrator and Cashto because he's already contacting Microsoft. As for using it at conventions, we wouldn't mind the extra advertising of the game. I am not the final word so I would recommend listening to others who are higher in authority than me. Have a good day.Cyd wrote:QUOTE (Cyd @ Apr 7 2015, 11:11 AM) Greetings,

Hi Cyd,
After checking out your website I would think the Allegiance death match mode would be a good fit for what you are looking to do.
I would suggest installing the game and testing it on one of your Tesla II pods.
No sense worrying about MS licensing issues until you have tested the game.
I'm sure many people here would be very interested in hearing your feedback if you test it.
Best of luck!

I was just down at the local public tonight.I raised this idea of the same thing locally and a person that re=conditions old arcade boxes (Asteroids, etc.) said "It sounds like a great way to re-invent gaming!A lot of gamers can't afford big bucks for gaming rigs. But if they can play games like this for like a $5 fee and you bring your'e own controller,it could drum up some $$ and promo MMOG's.
