I'm not sure about a central server being US based - in theory everything is playing off 1 big database. When you actually engage in real space with other human pilots it uses a P2P connection and, I believe, connects you with people geographically close.Globemaster_III wrote:QUOTE (Globemaster_III @ Jan 21 2015, 09:23 PM) Got a real questions.. after update all the stuff to meet the need of the game and it still boil down to one thing, will it have a US server ? since the game is in UK
will it crash like allegiance when it first start out ?

The flight model is "Spitfires in Space" with 6DoF thruster control. Roll and pitch, and use yaw for fine tuning. Think like you were flying an attack helicopter. When your speed is in the blue zone on the throttle, your ship will be at it's most agile.Shizoku wrote:QUOTE (Shizoku @ Jan 19 2015, 10:13 PM) -initial controls for mouse are almost as bad as alleg - up down axis on mouse, left right on keyboard - wtf?

They are using the Amazon cloud-servers, with the central hub in Ireland, I think. I've never heard any "ping" complaints from Americans. The server just keeps everybody honest, while meeting other players is P2P based, with rolling islands of 32 ppl at most visible to each other at any given time..Globemaster_III wrote:QUOTE (Globemaster_III @ Jan 21 2015, 11:23 PM) Got a real questions.. after update all the stuff to meet the need of the game and it still boil down to one thing, will it have a US server ? since the game is in UK

2 burst lasers will be enough initially.
Be sure to upgrade your power plant and trusthers next.

Went for a cannon + laser, have toasted some baddies pretty quick with it. The cannon autotargets leaving a good chunk of energy for the laser to do it's thing, lots of dps overall. Amassed a decent little chunk of money taking bounties and doing antipirate missions, pretty close to buying a Viper so I may just save for that at this point.
