ok not everything but the part about prox only lasting 15 seconds the first 4 of which it's inactive? Complete and utter horse@#(!. Prox has 15 seconds of active time. Minepack is a little tighter and I'm not entirely sure what's going on there... but either way we can finally stop telling people that bull@#(! that prox is only active for 11 seconds.

Did you actually watch the video? The prox is on the field for 19 seconds. So either a) it's not functioning for 8 seconds or b) it's active for 15 seconds.

This might not back up P1 entirely, but since I've been here it had always been clear to me that this was always like this. I do not know why you would think anything different.

In other news: Allegiance is a multiplayer game. Scouts are good at finding alephs. Constructors are needed to build bases.

I mean, wow.
did you really not know this? I know I was taught correctly back when I did cadet...

Just telling you upfront so you dont take another couple years to notice this, prox 2 and 3 last even longer (3s more each level), and prox 3 even covers a larger area (25% more radius)! :P
Still ready to teach anyone who asks nicely whatever they want to know about playing alleg. Contrary to popular opinion I do not eat newbies. Voobs taste much better.

You havnen't seen people spouting that ignorant bull@#(!? Really? Because when I was in cadet it was harped on endlessly and I always thought it was incredibly fishy.

QUOTE Just a fix, prox takes 4.5s to activate. And the 15s of spam time, is over everything (including arming time). so of effective prox time u have around 10s.[/quote]

Name was redacted to protect the innocent, but I'll dig the crap out of the old cadet forums if I really need to.

Umm....isn't this the type of things that the core authors know everything about and can tell us with absolute certainty what the truth is?

Actually no because it's a mixture of core and code.

The prox times are hard coded? Does that mean they can't be changed?
