Please Boot Me!
Its ok Fishy I hate being booted too. I whinged about a bad one in the heat of the moment too. It only took a toe massage or two after my post to get the point
I took a shine to you right off and it was cemented with the "Shiz didn't pick up my pod" which ranks as one of my all time favorites.

They both may have said it independently but it was said first by PidgeyPiephoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ Sep 2 2014, 03:37 PM) Relevant link is relevant
Seriously though boots happen and the best way to deal with it is Vortog's ClayPigeon's advice (which is pretty good advice for just about any situation in Alleg or anywhere else in life):
"Log off and go play with a dog."

Oh come off it. This is beyond silly. You don't even think you were fairly booted -- you're not "learning" anything, you're just sulking.fishbone wrote:QUOTE (fishbone @ Sep 2 2014, 08:20 PM) if I get booted, I did something wrong and will not rejoin...That is the best way in my opinion to learn I did something wrong.
The top players in this game -- you think they got good by sulking in NOAT every time they got booted? Feeling sorry for yourself is neither a necessary nor sufficient condition for improving your game.
QUOTE I also will not resign or mutiny since as has been stated, there are new commanders who are learning...I don't think it is helpful to resign or mutiny.[/quote]
What's so helpful about prolonging an obviously lost game? In what way is this instructive to anyone? You really think people should be forced to drag through a miserable game just because some noob comm doesn't know when he's beat?

Cashto: I respect your opinion and see nothing wrong in what you suggest, but you have your take and I have mine. No reason to debate it. Maybe sitting in NOAT gives me time to "go play with a dog".cashto wrote:QUOTE (cashto @ Sep 2 2014, 11:30 PM) Oh come off it. This is beyond silly. Maybe seeing how you get beat as a commander will give you ideas for the time that your team gives you an econ/map edge, but you don't know how to press your advantage.

Fishy: I am with you on this one. Cashto was just plain dumb. Everyone is free to deal with their bootings the way they please. Even come ranting here so we can berate and lecture them of how dumb their choices are. No need to apologize man. Also unless its a 2x2, there are many more players who can post a resign/muitny, you dont need to be the one doing it, no matter what your motives are.
PS: I demand some apologies from cashto for his idiotic statement (l loved this word).

I appreciate the support and reiterate I was in the wrong and was stupid in game and stupider to rant. After the community set me straight, I had that feeling you get when you get hammered and make out with some fat chick in front of your friends. Then the next day you wake up hung over and realize you went "hoggin'" and your friends laugh at you and tell you what an idiot you were. At that point you just accept it and hope it doesn't happen again. I don't need an apology from Cash. People can have a difference in opinions. He is fine to express his.Archangelus wrote:QUOTE (Archangelus @ Sep 3 2014, 09:38 PM) Fishy: I am with you on this one. Cashto was just plain dumb. Good now just hold on to that for 2 hours so I can come by and ruin games with my particular brand of suckitude

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.
