sounds like an aussie.. smart guy clearly

pity the default keybindings are a joke and never used boost properly.... haven't seen him around.. would be good to have this guy here and playing

also shows the importance of commanders giving newbies some direction or people taking newbies under their wing.. if they want to be given direction that is

maybe the crashes have something to do with the high res packs.. graphics issues..

Something like an updated version ofLawsons old videoswould be cool.

I like that video. It's dense yet still clear. Not a single word wasted.

this is exactly right. alleg always crashes when game ends if you have been frapsing. has something to do when it goes to lobby and goes back to 640x480 resolution. you do pick up the end game screen on the fraps, even though you dont see it yourself.

if he didnt fraps or if he stopped his fraps just prior to ending, then it wont crash.

I've seen weed fraps through to the game stats... not sure what he might have been doing differently. That said, i DO crash at end of games with fraps on.

I see. So it is possible that he did crash, but it's probably just a fraps issue. Is there something that can be done about this on our end, like changing the lobby screen to match the in-game resolution?

I just checked it out and the stats screen isn't being recorded on my machine when the game ends. Bummer.

If you fly with the same resolution as the endgame screen (800x600?) then it won't change screen modes and won't crash. Squirg did it like that too.

There might also be an obscure combination of hardware that can prevent the crash, but I'm not sure.
