It's a complete newbie playing a 3 v 2 back in June, with commentary. Obviously the guy is clueless, but it's interesting to hear what he thinks as events unfold.

Don't have time to watch the whole thing now, but from the first six minutes what immediately strikes me is the old "what to do next" problem.

One is to have an area of the screen dedicated to auto-generated orders, things you can do to assist the team, ships you should be in etc.. he didn't understand for example miners needed defense.

A simpler one is to have a $#@!ing legend for icons ffs.

Main problem with the video is that he hasn't done training though (no boosters etc). It would have been more representative if he had.

it was interesting, but is there any possibility of getting the allegiance tutorials suggested to new players when they first log on?

That's what I was thinking, too. Definitely an eye-opener for me. I've been expecting way too much from them.

He's got a few other videos, too, including his first try at commanding. I'm thinking of putting together some basic training videos for people like him. I mean, he's obviously not a dumbass. He picks up on things fairly quickly. There's just way too much he doesn't know, yet.

That's not going to help because he got tired of Allegiance crashing and such, if you read the first comment on the page.
