Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable

Hopefully we get some good news from Microsoft.BackTrak wrote:QUOTE (BackTrak @ Oct 25 2011, 01:31 PM) I've sent Microsoft some emails and a fax to find out what we would need to do to get an exception for FAO under the shared source license.

Worst they can do is say no. Although you would think they'd like their game to become more popular again.

Please read this post by Dark_Sponge approx. 1 year ago.Barracuda wrote:QUOTE (Barracuda @ Oct 23 2011, 05:35 PM) Now that steam has f2p games...it would be great if we could try to get allegiance onto that page.
I mean look at puzzle pirates,
that game had a playerbase of less than 10,000, now its on steam and its numbers have tripled in mere weeks.
I am not sure whether it is possible with the licensing, but if it is I think it would help the game immensely.
EDIT: btw I haven't played in about two years, just starting to get back into it in the bast couple of weeks.
Free multiplayer games on Steam, Why couldn't Allegiance be one of them?
I was noticing that there are a couple of totally free multiplayer games on Steam...

ASGS is Pook's alone, it's not a modification of the original source code or game so it's not Microsoft's and neither is TEK, ICE, AME and any other utilities.MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Oct 27 2011, 05:04 AM) (and ASGS since well its theirs because of terms)
But yeah TE isn't the owner of the source code and the work done by the Dev Team is open so anyone can take it and make their own website and servers and use their own authentication tools but it will still be under Microsoft's licence.
It would be interesting to see if Microsoft would be willing to sell Allegiance but then it might be worse depending on who buys it.
