As shoddy a service as it might be, Games for Windows Live might be the best service to get Alleg on.

Hopefully we get some good news from Microsoft.

As an inmate in my jail once told me, "A closed mouf dun get fed..."

Worst they can do is say no. Although you would think they'd like their game to become more popular again.

Barracuda wrote:QUOTE (Barracuda @ Oct 23 2011, 05:35 PM) Now that steam has f2p games...it would be great if we could try to get allegiance onto that page.

I mean look at puzzle pirates,

that game had a playerbase of less than 10,000, now its on steam and its numbers have tripled in mere weeks.

I am not sure whether it is possible with the licensing, but if it is I think it would help the game immensely.

EDIT: btw I haven't played in about two years, just starting to get back into it in the bast couple of weeks.

Free multiplayer games on Steam, Why couldn't Allegiance be one of them?
I was noticing that there are a couple of totally free multiplayer games on Steam...

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

The owner of FAO isn't the owner of the code for Allegiance (and ASGS since well its theirs because of terms). Barking up the wrong tree

ASGS is Pook's alone, it's not a modification of the original source code or game so it's not Microsoft's and neither is TEK, ICE, AME and any other utilities.

But yeah TE isn't the owner of the source code and the work done by the Dev Team is open so anyone can take it and make their own website and servers and use their own authentication tools but it will still be under Microsoft's licence.

It would be interesting to see if Microsoft would be willing to sell Allegiance but then it might be worse depending on who buys it.
