It was much better when BV and others ran it and the vets that were cadet advisers back then. Today it's very sad.
Gee thanks. I wonder how much better cadet would be if everyone who thought they could improve it stepped up and actually did some work. Its a wiki FFS, if you hate it that much rewrite it yourself. I don't have an exclusive on recording video of stuff I do in game and then narrating why I did what I did, go right ahead and fill in the blanks. Sometimes I wonder why I bother helping newbies at all if this is the thanks the training staff gets.

And before you shout "you're a voob, you shouldn't be teaching anyone anything", well I wouldn't have to if more of the so-called vets stepped up.

Oh wait... there's a reason we keep the training forums limited access. Its to keep the bile and filth at the heart of this community away from the newbies, even for a little bit, in the hope that they don't get driven away by "vets" yelling at them for making minor mistakes.

Edit: +1 Dengaroth.

1) The servers were more reliable. high latency is tolerable without constant lag SPIKES and server crashes.
2) TC is THE prime example of someone who has NOT made latency a crutch, as his gameplay results speak for themselves, however you wouldn't know that because you don't actually play this game

Server bull@#(! is a short term argument that won't help as much as other possibilities.

uhh..... the game will always play like @#(! regardless of who plays in it, what core changes you make, or otherwise, as long as servers run like @#(!

Metz, our servers aren't the only ones having these problems. It's internet wide. Hell, I tried to file my taxes on the Pennsylvania web site the other day and 3 pages in it crashed.

/Lans, you guys are doing a great job. Don't let the whiners get to you. ;)

To all the people complaining about booting, I have a challenge for you. Become a decent well respected commander without booting a single non-disruptive player.

It won't happen, you know why? It's not possible, it's not what people want in a leader. They want someone who is strong so they can blame them for any failure.

This is true. However if your system is really old, you might want to use Panda Cloud antivirus since it's easier on your system than MSE.

Making it dumber as many are trying to with cc will make it worse as there are heaps of other games out there that @#(! all over it.

Take a deep breath, stop your stupid "in the old days everything was better" campaign, pull your thumbs out of your ass and start helping us to improve things.
