Belts Tac
Also, keep in mind that range upgrades affect particle speed, rather than particle lifetime... so they reduce the amount you need to lead by, thereby giving you (theoretically) better accuracy at any range.

RT: The number of typical responses decreases exponentially as the number of joke options increases.

try zooming in and targeting with your mouse. It's more percise.

TF Tac.... the few times I@ve seen it, rarely does the comm get SRP Killer. It's like a mini TF AB weapon! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

The bigest thing to understand is that YOUR RETICULE LIES.
In fact, it lies like a really really really bad toupe.
What the recticle really does is say one or more weapons SHOULD hit, IF NOTHING CHANGES. This is why the really good players dont even bother with the rects and lay their guns on by eye. (Examples: Weedman and Aarmstrong) However the one thing you should count on is that in combat, to stay constant is to die quickly. Nor does the recticule take into account ga's, or even racial range bonuses. Net result? you'll have to watch where your bullets are in relation to the target and walk them on, even if the reticle says you should be on target.

That's not entirely accurate - the reticle does take range upgrades into account, as they increase particle speed of the projectiles. Hence, they're in the calculation. What the reticle doesn't consider is your current thrust vector and the target's current thrust vector. It only takes current speed vectors into consideration. And since these vectors are non-zero in 99.8% of cases, that's why the reticle sucks /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />Da_Muck wrote:QUOTE (Da_Muck @ Jul 19 2006, 09:48 AM) Nor does the recticule take into account ga's, or even racial range bonuses.

That is not how I aim.Da_Muck wrote:QUOTE (Da_Muck @ Jul 19 2006, 02:48 AM) What the recticle really does is say one or more weapons SHOULD hit, IF NOTHING CHANGES. I shotgun a beer and then twist my mustacios into incredibly fine points of precision. Where they point, I shoot, and things explode.
I also know that aarmstrong tapes patches of coon fur to the computer screen and plays a game called the muffin man.

And thats what makes tac truely great.
