It would be really, really nice if there was some sort of techpath win/loss statistics... I'd bet Sup would be way out ahead. Stupid figbees... :sad:

But if Bios sup is the problem then, again, nerf the fig/figbee model itself, make it easier to hit. :)

Normally I would agree that faction win/loss statistics are not the best indicator but it is DEAD LAST.

Additionally, it is rare that I ever hear of it being picked in squad-games. I can understand why it is thought to be powerful, but are you really sure on this? I think a change might be in order because of its perceived power-level in comparison to its success rate, but that would involve some sort of buff too.

Giga is almost never picked in squad games and the win/loss stats say its the second best faction. So that logic is a little ridiculous.

The win/loss stats count everything, from late night 5v5 games where Giga wins hands down because of its ability to spam cons to stupid games where someone goes OH SY versus adv sup. Take the last game in main for example. It was Rix hvy scouts commanded by Terran vs Grav's Bios exp. OF COURSE prox3 hvy scouts are going to stop Bios htts. But does that mean Bios sucks? No, it means the person commanding Bios sucks for picking a stupid strategy.

Its pretty clear to the vast majority of this community that Bios sup in particular is overpowered relative to all others. Teams with 0 miners and 0 bases outside their home should not win versus teams who control the entire map but just manage to let one 4% sig scout past with tp2. Think about that. Bios hvy scouts with hvy cloak 1 have four percent signature! And you say Bios sucks?!?!

Are those faction stats even working properly? I never heard about them being fixed. And since the cc_09 stats are nearly identical to the cc_09b stats, I'd wager something's not quite right in those numbers.

Remove innitial fig and give scouts a second mount that can only mount dis.



Crazy. But that's how it goes.


People get lt. ints, lt. sf and basic fig with techbase, so as encouraging people to actually get the techbase up fast rather than go for bombers and gs.

Bios originally didn't have the fast build time (from what I know Noir introduced that along with prox for figs to make bios better)

I'm all for taking away prox for figs (keeping free mp with sup though) because the early bios bomb was usually fun to defend against. However an increase to the size of their figs is probably needed as well, regardless of any other changes.

As far as econ nerfs go, I think I'd like to see a payday nerf (down to 250 or thereabouts). This means that Bios' miners become incredibly valuable at all stages of the game, and makes them actually matter past the first techbase.

I like the idea of the garrison/research to delay tp1, hvy scouts and gunships for additional 10 minutes.
Miner offense with base tech vs gunships is really tough, with enh still very difficult.

Remove the accel bonus or whatever make hvy cloak not hvy, make the figs fatter, remove free mine pack, remove the fuel bonus, remove the short build times, nerf payday to belter levels say 400 or so. Do something about gs. Make skycap1 a tech you get for free with sy imo. Or just flat out take gs away from bios I mean gt doesn't have them it's hardly the end of the $#@!ing world now is it. If you did all that bios would hardly ever win a game starting over 10 a side :P

Oh, huh. It feels like a natural part of them now... Well, still, you've got the lighter ships and starting with Starbase, right? And I still say, start with a small change, not something huge.

And why all the hate against gunships? Bios is the only faction that ever fields them and some of you want them never to use gs either? Might as well just delete gunships from the core altogether, make space for something else... :glare:
