That's since I tried the tutorial under beta tho', so no idea how that interacts with R5. As for the registry entries, combatfullscreenxsize is 1280, combatfullscreenysize is 1024. 1280x1024? Strange screen resolution. Also, Dorj, Raum, great to hear from you guys, but can we not do the hugs and reunion thing in the middle of a tech support thread please? It kinda gets in the way of my actually getting ingame. I'll try and save some prox for you both once I'm up and flying again. :)

1280x1024 does indeed sound weird, try changing it to 1024 x 768 on regedit (rightclick on CombatFullScreenXSize and select modify, and press decimal and change it to 1024, and it's 400x300 in Hexadecimal terms)WyldKarde wrote:QUOTE (WyldKarde @ Jun 3 2010, 02:31 PM) As for the registry entries, combatfullscreenxsize is 1280, combatfullscreenysize is 1024.
1280x1024? Strange screen resolution.
then try up Allegiance (non Beta) and see if that works.
And if your still getting the error can you also tell me what happens if you run Allegiance directly without ASGS to play the training missions?
Ok, I can connect to the beta lobby just fine now, so that's that sorted. Looks like if we fail here I should be ok when R6 goes live.
Just made the recommended registry changes. Gonna go try now and will edit this post when I have a result.
Edit:
It works! Logged into the main game, set myself up a custom singleplayer round, launched, loaded and undocked just fine. I'm back, baby!
Thanks for the assist, everyone. Especially to HSharp who finally found the glitch. Dunno how the heck that weird@#(! resolution setting ended up in my registry, but now it's fixed and I'm feeling fine.
See you out in the black, amigos!

Just chipping in on this little part: You need a 64 bit version of Windows to use anything above 3GB of RAM. You can actually have more physical memory installed, and you probably have, the limitation is because of the maximum address space of a 32 bit OS is, well, 4GB. The 1 GB missing is a sideeffect caused by the fact, that RAM is not the only thing that needs addresses. So yeah, if you want to use the full capacity of your physical memory, upgrade to x64 OS.WyldKarde wrote:QUOTE (WyldKarde @ Jun 2 2010, 11:21 PM) RAM: 3070MB (Odd, I thought this was a 4 gig box...)
OK. Carry on gentlemen.
It can also be changed, if you launch with "Safe Mode" option selected in ASGS. It then displays gfx settings window prior to launching Allegiance.exe.HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Jun 3 2010, 06:42 PM) No problem, thanks should go to SR-71 though who noticed the problem when Vly was in a similar situation.
It's quite odd though of how your ingame resolution changed, normally you can only change it in fullscreen mode and I thought the default was 800 x 600.
Except for some reason that didn't work for me.ogorass wrote:QUOTE (ogorass @ Jun 3 2010, 06:57 PM) It can also be changed, if you launch with "Safe Mode" option selected in ASGS. It then displays gfx settings window prior to launching Allegiance.exe.
Edit: To clarify, running in Safe Mode brought up the gfx dialogue, but I still faced crashes when joining a game in fullscreen, or joining windowed then going to fullscreen.
