YO! Guys!

I have been playing previous to now. I'm stump as to why this is happening.

Windows Version (and Service Packs): OS 98SE sp1
Processor Speed: 450
RAM: 128
Video Card (Make and Model#): ati 128 all in wonder
Sound Card (Make and Model#): creative 128
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DialUp
Modem (Make and Model#): intel LT WinModem
Router (Make and Model#): none
Internet Service Provider(company name):Netzero highspeed
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): USA TX Houston Area
Problem Encountered at Step #: 7 no game listing
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegiance
What Error Message: "NO MESSAGE" It just sits there and I do not see the game listing. Is the Lobby DOWN? Its been Two days and It is still doing it. ASGS gives no Errors just checks in.

Any Ideas?

Thanks captainpod

ah! no? Not working offline.

Tried to log on several times turning things off but I don't think this is external to allegaince. Something crashed and it will not connect to the lobby even to show the title screen to try.

This happened after removing Norton Antivirus

Launching Allegiance
• Active
• Allegiance exited with code: -1
• Creating Crashfile

Help! Please!

Allegiance should not crash just because you uninstalled Norton. Since you are on dial up, ask someone to download you a fresh copy of allegiance and install it after you uninstalled your old version.
Check your firewall, has allegiance been blocked there?

Don't have a firwall. Win98 is apparently ancient. The Norton had wormblocking that blocked the ports. I was able to turn it off and play. The crashing started before I removed it to go to an AV that was more allegaince freindly. It just did not work.

Renistalling last option. Darn!

Thanks anyway

Was there anything useful in the crashfile?

Reinstall is a good next step though ...

Run scandisk on your system drive. Sounds like some file in your allegiance folder is corrupt. So reinstalling would be a good next step. If it's still crashing after that I'd look at reinstalling directx and your video/sound drivers.
