aarmstrong, the server host, has repeatedly asked not to use ts.dras.us afaik.string wrote:QUOTE (string @ Dec 15 2009, 10:02 PM) Tell them to look at the screenshot and put that in connect:ts.dras.us:8767, not the suggested one:which will lead to a lot of frustration, til they notice what is in the ss.
Moreover, I for one never had any trouble at all with ts.alleg.net.

Well I most certainly did. I have never seen this repeatedly asking. Where is this request?
As well, please give the IP and port so I can look it up on the list: so I, who am not as fortunate as you, can comply with on high.

Code: Select all
C:\Users\badp>ping ts.alleg.net
Pinging ts.dras.us [72.233.114.203] with 32 bytes of data:After all you don't really want to connect to aarm's server, you want to connect to Allegiance's. The fact they happen to be the same server does not really matter
If you are experiencing DNS trouble, you can complain with your ISP, you can consider switching to public DNS servers like OpenDNS or Google Public DNS, or you can post in our Helpline.

badp wrote:QUOTE (badp @ Dec 15 2009, 04:03 PM)As you can see ts.alleg.net simply redirects to aarmstrong's generously hosted TS server because that's the server currently being used by the community. The day we should switch to another server, ts.alleg.net will simply redirect to the new server.Code: Select all

I am correctly connected now. Thx
It's a two-part problem; first, people don't log onto Teamspeak except during SGs and events, and second, people don't talk on Teamspeak outside of SGs and events. Even when I don't feel like playing Alleg, or can't spare the computer resources for it, I'll still sometimes open up TS just to see if there's any fun chats going on. To me it's equivalent to ingame chat, except that I don't have to have the game open to get it and I don't have to dedicate any screen space to it. But I rarely stick around for long, because when I logon and see a whopping three people on TS, what's the point of sticking around?

I just think TS sucks and hate it xD
Although I have done my part for the community entertaining late on sat nights...

I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Remember, what I say is IMO always. If I say that something sucks, it actually means "I think it sucks" OK?
