The trouble for RT/SRM to finish the game was our awesome expansion. We had secured most of the HE on the map but we were unable to mine.

For the record we got HE mines after our 6th miner died and we decided we couldn't defend them and thought (since at the time they didn't have sup) we could get them for our income instead. However we lost one otw to the rock and the 2nd planted just after they got galvs. Should've just got enh miners and tried mining again (we had about 13 full HE rocks in our sectors but RT/SRM had IC hvy int manned OPs next to every one of our sectors).

They galved quickly and, even though they had adv miners (and only two from what i heared) they were slow expanding to the sectors (being IC) that contained all the HE we had controlled.

I PMed jbourne near the end asking why it was taking so long and he explained he just didn't see any other way but SY to finish it.

I tried to entertain the troops with some silly stuff but in the end a resign was posted and although I pressed N it passed.

Note: I don't disagree that it DID feel RT/SRM wasn't trying, but their plan was to expand to get better HE for frigs, and as IC having to re-expand after we're down to two sectors (garr and exp) took a while.

I still think TP2 would've worked (a few dummies going for exp over garr would've worked but I respect the feeling of needing to get overwhelming odds in a SG).

Needless to say, you could've entertained us with some sort of base killing stuff instead of making us wait for 30 mins with no attacks...

GG
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Isn't this where Nak comes in and tells both sides to stop sucking?

With deepest respect for SysX/GB I sincerely hope for the balance of nature and survival of allegiance that this does not occur, and instead we cop our individual punishments through bastardisation in PUG's.

Sorry about that. I just thought an explanation was in order and the logs were the best way to do that.
