Updated beta: http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...showtopic=44386 (Aug. 2 '09)
FAZDev server is also up to date (Aug. 2 '09)

Hopefully this is it! Please try it out and post any problems you encounter!

I'm not aware of any outstanding issues stopping the release /w this version, so it's important YOU find any "hidden bugs" if they exist. (prove me wrong)

Please post feedback on your testing experience.

If you have trouble getting it to work, try these alternate directions: http://www.freeallegiance.org/FAW/index.ph...Getting_Started before posting.

Thank you!

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

I am pinning this topic and 'de'-pinning the old R5 'report your bugs here' thread as the code has changed a lot since that thread was started.

Issues fixed from reports in IRC:

- Allied message in non allied game when a player joins your team. (change is in)
- Allied teams can't blow up their own missiles anymore. (change is in)

These aren't pushed yet.

So does this mean that I can't ever shoot my own missles down anymore?

Changes are in for the flashing target selection box when AA is on in Command View (F3) and also fixed server crashes when using AGC.dll "Collections" (enumerations for games, probes, players, stations, etc..)

Changes are also in for the broken aleph texture (from the CLAMP change)

also if you get EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION error, your CPU does not support SSE2 instructions. I've built a non-SSE2 build which is current with all the changes noted above: http://freeallegiance.sourceforge.net/Alle...beta_090806.zip

EDIT: This nonSSE2 build is now default (too many AMD XPxxxx people here) and has been updated by dogbones.
