I was actually talking about creating an extra gun for scouts that would be used specifically to deprobe. What a waste of time.

Everyone that talks about how Noir's version of Hvy scouts (that cc has used) and thinks is cheese, should go play PookCore. Then we can talk about cheese. Until then, stfu.

Don't forget that PCII reached version 19 each of which had a nerf to heavy scouts. And belts heavy scouts were still better than most ints.

On that subject though, the mosquito missiles were brilliant for deprobing - long range, low damage missiles. I'd be happy to see them make a comeback.

Ok, a new gun was a silly idea, especially for deprobing. Especially after watching Rix Hvy scouts fully deprobe a sector I just did within 20 seconds, even though I took precautions to keep them from being found.

I know that belters already have this, but perhaps all scouts should have universal mounts?
Being able to equip a single Mini, Sniper or Util wouldn't be too unbalanced, would it?
If it would, maybe only giving universal mounts to Hvy scouts.

2x(4x Dumbs) + 1x UtlCan + 1x MiniAC turret. Quick dead miner.

Yea I was having second thoughts about the Util cannon, but what about sniper and mini?
Mini is stronger but shorter ranged and sucks against utilty and shields, and Sniper is long ranged but not as powerful, but does equal damage to light and medium hull.

True though that scouts should be out doing something useful like probing or nanning a bomber run rather than dogfighting, but there are situations where it would be nice.

Given the short lifespan of many escort scouts, anything able to burst quickly a whole rack of ammo would be nice. :P

What about more types of defensive weapons? Like a scatter gun with prox for taking out inbound missiles or expiring a minefield in front of the bomber?
Or different types of nanite guns, such as designs with longer range, or faster projectiles but with lesser healing abilty.
Higher velocity longer ranged nannites that heal less would be good for combat support when your intended target is boosting around at 300mps
