Technoflux Lead Indicators
I like TF the way they are. OK the lead indicators is a bit cheesy, but it's not game-breaking, and there's plenty of other cheesy things other factions have - or, to put it better, plenty of other unique things other factions have. It's all part of the flavour of TF and it doesn't render them unbeatable; they lose plenty of times. They can just be hard to finish off, like the other faction with a long research time, bios.

Let me put this bluntly, I am not a dogfighting whore. Neither is most of the community, especially then new guys. I like TF because I suck at leading.
If you are going to nerf a faction for hell's sakes make it IC or Rix. It is common knowledge that TF has a weak opening and strong endgame. And if you eliminate lead inidicators from TF eliminate them from everything and perk their fire rate.
Short story, they are not overpowered at all compared to other factions comparable tech, they just take less skill to fly. I see this as a move to make the game less newbie friendly.

TF lead indicators are nothing. They hardly help with aiming. It's not the job of the CC to change things just for the hell of changing them. We have far bigger things going on at the moment
I'd also like to point out TF isnt exactly dominating at the moment.

I remember Drizzo once said it was a natural counter to IC.
Dunno if he was joking or not, but they did beat XT's IC Exp that day.

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

This is exactly my point, I don't see why a worse player needs to beat a better player just because he has lead indicator.Youngmoose wrote:QUOTE (Youngmoose @ May 4 2009, 04:21 PM) Short story, they are not overpowered at all compared to other factions comparable tech, they just take less skill to fly. I haven't seen you in game since forever. I am 100% sure if TF lost their lead indicators they wouldn't stop those major figbbrs runs I've seen. Their Int bombing would also be way worse, why does a faction that has RAZOR wide ints need to have lead indicators.apochboi wrote:QUOTE (apochboi @ May 4 2009, 04:22 PM) TF lead indicators are nothing. Also if they are nothing, just take them off TF, or put it to the rest of the factions, I'm not trying to change stuff just for the sake of it, I am trying to change it because I think it's broken.

There also hasnt been a core release in forever. I dont think much has changed since i last played on a regular basis.Buyo wrote:QUOTE (Buyo @ May 4 2009, 10:50 PM) I haven't seen you in game since forever.
TF have lead indicators because they are meant to be AI, computers you know. Thats the main reason for TF having them. They arent game breaking, and they arent very accurate. So why bother about them seriously.

It's different to be WORSE than to SUCK, just because something is worse, it doesn't mean it's awful.
EDIT.
I just don't see why TF hvy ints have lead indicators at all, the other factions don't have it and it's not like the TF hvy int is bad, in fact I think it's one of the best with their size, if anything belters hvy ints would be the ones with the leads.
EDIT2.
WELP, that's my argument, I am just more in favor of a skill based game, because honestly that lead does help, maybe it doesn't if you are a top dogfighter, but how many of us are top dogfighters, I ain't for one. Maybe I'm not explaing myself very well but brood put it better I think:
QUOTE having lead indicators is annoying to fight against because you have every voob on the other team aiming 10x better than your voobs and it makes attacking them vs even enh tech very hard.[/quote]
