I wouldn't play alleg with a gamepad it's kinda hard I guess. BUT it's possible... even on extra hard mode, what's that you mean? well I know a certain someone (I fly with keyboard and mouse by the way) COUGHKAPCOUGH that flies like this: (I know because I've seen him) with the left hand he holds a Xbox360 controller, and I think he has the thumb on one of the sticks while he presses the upper buttons with the rest of his fingers, and on the right hand I don't remember if he uses the keyboard or mouse, I think he uses keyboard to fly regular and mouse to dogfight :P

Hey all

Thanks for the reply and im gunna go out and deff get a Logitech Force 3D Pro if thats what everyone uses lol Now all I have to do is get way better and learn with it lol Anyways im off for now and thanks again for all the replies!!!

I can give specifics for what settings on the control software work for me* if you end up getting the stick.

Quadratic response instead of linear is the thing to have on in Allegiance.

The old joystick is the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 (although other sidewinder sticks crop up fairly often too). These were the best peripherals ever made and it'd be worth a go at finding one on ebay.

I have 2 just in case one dies...my 1st one is over 8 years old now still going strong.
These are the ones where the 110Vac goes right into the base, not the type with the wall wart...
