Fact one:
R4 increased the number of server crashs (Planet2/GPZ/3FL/Stripe)

Fact two:
"Broken cores" crash servers, eg DN0004xx, Raptor core (Planet2/GPZ)

Fact three:
Infrastructur problems maybe don't allow you to play Allegiance (March 29th Outage)

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

The number of sever crashes seem to have risen dramatically in the past 2-3 months. When I first started playing, the server almost NEVER crashed (around August-December).

Because we were forced to migrate everything to new servers, a number of outages were necessary to complete the migration.

Stripe (ASGS and our lobby) needed to be reconfigured and rebooted a number of times
Our old forum server needed a reset once, and the new forum server needed a reset once too.

all of this happened between December '08 and March '09 on a variety of different days/times.

The migration is now complete so disruptions are no longer needed. This should put everything back on track (with the exception of unexpected problems that we can't plan for!)
