I can log on to Allegiance and I can see the games list. The problem I'm having is that I can't connect to games. I have disabled the McAfee firewall and I am using the windows one, Allegiance is set as trusted.

Please try uninstalling McAfee and trying. Most of these programs do not disable when you ask it to disable.
I recommend NOD32 AV if it works. The built in firewall of Norton and McAfee block Allegiance for an unknown reason even if they are asked to let it through or even disabled. Only uninstall works.
