Why not let dis3 have a good AoE but be weaker than it was against int hulls? It seems obvious to me, but I must be missing something.
Think of it like aiming AC and Skycaps at an int at range, your gonna hit the int a lot more with the skycaps just because you don't have to be precise with it to deal damage, while any shots from AC that miss do 0 damage.
I honestly don't get why ints get medium hulls in the first place though, but thats just me (and yes, i've heard all the arguments, but it doesn't reason why they get an AC that most things deal less damage to [including prox], rather then just giving them an additional hp perk, but thats another argument entirely).
Edit: Guitarism, from what i remember, theres a damage mod that makes EMP cannons do 0 dmg to parts armor class items, which missiles have. Verification will be needed by someone who's got a better understanding
