Will get you some more info soon, but have to head out, but wanted to post a HUGE thanks!!!!

OMG Alleg looks incredible. I finished downloading all the texture packs, etc.. and finally able to play without lag due to this alpha.

Getting in excess of 500 fps.
Running full 1920x1200
4x antialising
Etc....

Also noticed the guage smearing.

The base giggle while boosting is a bit shattered, I'll try and fraps it or something for you.

Running Core2Duo 3.0, with 4 gigs ram and Nvidia 8800GTS 512, Raptor 150 HD etc...
System is newly re-installed with just Alleg, Warhammer Online beta, TS, etc... XP Pro SP2 Fully updated.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

If someone would get the source up we could start experimenting with render states. I think it has to do with the device's capabilities (device caps), not with the specific chip.

After having played some time I saw a few random crashes. Sometimes Alleg closes right after logging in, sometimes I can play for 2 hours straight. Haven't been able to reproduce it though.

this fix works great, unless you add cort ui to it. It crashes every 10 min. Had to remove it. I can play with out it...

For me, this is 150x better than the current release. Ive got dual Radeon x1950Pro's crossfired on a dual core AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+ with 2GB RAM and while i was getting something like 15fps at 1024x768 with the old version, i am now getting a reported FPS of 300+ at 1440x900. With vsynch on, its never drops below 75. I cant say ive noticed any problems yet, but i do have to admit ive only run it in training modes due to a lack of people on newbie servers. Thank you for doing this, as i was going to drop the game due to the poor visual performance, it being hard to dogfight at 10fps. Ill edit this post if i notice problems. Thank you again and all the people who have worked hard on this game.

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

there is a transparent vertical line 3/4 of the way across the of the in-flight f4 loadout panel.

probably needs it's artwork adjusting to use a text bmp.mdl tell it not to have black as transparent.

it seems to have problems with handling black = transparent. (and when it doesn't)

i'm inclined to suggest removing black = transparent, and use alpha channels in artwork. (though it would need someone to go through the art adding them)

some things i spotted:
build sphere is black when shrinking, not transparent

strange artefacts when hovering over minimap

bits of the inbase f4 screen are missing

health bars are getting antialiased

this was running it in windowed mode (which interestingly enough ended up being in 800*600, even though the resolution was set to 1680*1050 - i guess that is the full screen combat x/y size value)
