I also have the latest CortUI installed.

i haven't seen this problem mentioned yet, but since i installed the alpha engine, my G5 mouse slows to a crawl once alleg opens. I have to click up to the next DPI when playing.

What happens if alleg is windowed? Does the mouse respond normally than? or it is slow both inside and outside of the allegiance window?
When playing full screen, what happens if you iconify/minimize the allegiance window, is the mouse still slow?

I guess what I am getting at is it slow everywhere once allegiance starts or just inside allegiance?

I am NOT saying this is the source of your problem but have you confirmed that other memory reporting utilities are showing your full memory?
Right click "My Computer" then Properties or "Task Manager"?

Just tested it...it works fine when alleg is in windowed mode. Fullscreen slows it down, but if i minimize the game the mouse is back to normal outside of it.

OK, I got the alpha .exe and here are my results so far.

My system & settings...

System:
CPU: intel e6550 2.33ghz dual
GPU: Albatron nVidia Geforece 9600 GT 512 mb (174 drivers)
RAM: 2x 1gb 800mhz ddr2
OS: Windows XP SP2
Sound / chipset: Realtek onboard, Gigabyte S series 2

nV control panel settings:
for alleg I set it all to "use global" and "let the aplication decide" etc

Alleg alpha settings.

800x600 at 70mhz refresh
AA = 4x
Vsync = on
Full screen

Other: Cort UI

Ingame: Most ingame graphics settings on (Posters, Debri, Stars etc)

First off, MAJOR improvment in the performance department, gone from around 10 - 20 fps to it being a constant 70
(capped at refresh rate, I would like to know how to remove the FPS limit so I can see the real performance here.
anyhelp?)

I am seeing alot of Bugs with the GUI, there are "black holes" in the minimap, the launch door is missing, we all know that tho. also some other GUI peices have see through gaps.

I see pieces of the HUD out of place either below or above where the hud normaly is, but the normal hud is still there, seems there is duplicate parts of it scattering. When I change to f3 view and back, the HUD goes crazy.

When someone is podded etc, it shows their name in dark blue (if they blue team) or green (if they yellow team)

Mini map has a semi transparent look to it (the map part that shows the white lines and the colored circles) and when a sector is being controled by 2 factions it only shows one faction controling it on the minimap (eg Blue circle with small yellow circle = just a blue circle) Oh and TF's background picture in lobby looks funny.

Here are some pictures...

edit: not sure if browser will display at 800 x 600 so here are links.

Other utilities are displaying the correct amount of memory, yes.

Thanks for the feedback. As Grimm mentioned no need for you (or others) to post screen shots of known issues. You guys are finding new ones (which is to be expected) and it is good to know about those.

Regarding the FPS, turn Vsync off to get a higher rate. Vsync means vertical refresh sync which means it ties the number of times the graphics card refreshes the screen (frames per second) to the vertical refresh of your monitor (70 Hz in your case or 70 frames per second). Usually it does not make any sense to have your graphics card generating more frames per second than the monitor can actually display(update) (although there are probably some cases where it might make sense and I am sure someone here will point that out /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />) Some people (well one person) have (has) reported the mouse occasionally getting choppy with Vsync turned on but that has yet to be reported for this build.
