Sound Card (Make and Model#): Soundblaster Live! 24 Bit
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DSL

I have an...interesting problem to say the least. Hopefully someone here can help with it.
I had to uninstall .NET, which I did as per the Wiki, step by step, and I know I did all of that properly.
But, I arrived at a problem once it came to reinstalling it. 1.1 will not install. At all, no matter what I try (The redistributable, updating from the Microsoft site using Internet Explorer, trying to install unrelated programs that are supposed to install 1.1 with them, none of it works). I've also attempted to install in Safe Mode, but that does not appear to be allowed or something, wouldn't start.
I get what appears to be a memory leak error while trying to install. ( http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/5905/14795568de0.jpg )
I tested, and .NET 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, all of those would install perfectly, it's only 1.1 that will not install. I just do not understand this. At times, I also get a related problem with it, an error message involving Regsvcs.exe, which research says has to do with the installation of 1.1.
I've looked all over Google and other places without finding a single thing that honestly helps me at all. Please tell me someone here knows, because this is a major issue not just for Allegiance but for some other programs as well.
Problems installing .NET
