You will find a large number of old schoolers won't. Hell a lot of us have NEVER played some of those cores. Just like I am sure you will find some who want to.

Of course. I'm surprised there are not any core wars type stuff in here - That's probably because it's not really Allegiance stuff - they're two cores that are drastically different, and I don't think anyone is saying they are better - just different.

Yes, there is.

you need to manually download it though. I don't think the latest core is on the forums:

Unzip the zip file to your artwork folder and drop the IGC file in there as well

If we ignore (and its kind of a stretch) which squads developed which cores; RT likes EoR, and they're a newer squad (relatively speaking), and other more recent squads (XT/WC/SysX/RT/SF) prefer DN, which is very different from vanilla allegiance, where older squads (BS/GB/PK) mostly prefer classic cores.
XT (and for that matter, SF) are not recent squads. I realize you know this and are merely trying to be a prick, but I felt that had to be said.

I think allegiance squads play games in cores based around allegiance. If they played squad games in BSG core and SW then why don't they just move to a different game based on BSG or SW? Allegiance is played because it is allegiance and not something else.

I dont' know about SW and BSG, but EoR isn't exactly balanced, with IC rookies, the BFG and BFB etc

So maybe that's why SGs dont' happen on them.

But the Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica cores are still allegiance, just with elements from their respective things. You still have to worry about constructors, bases, alephs, sectors, rocks, etc, in a way that no other game has.

I think you're confused EoR with RPS, though EoR has some issues of its own that need addressed.
