I sense serious problems with sector overload on those games.

CraftyCelt wrote:QUOTE (CraftyCelt @ Oct 31 2007, 04:18 PM) I have just spoken to the guys running the tournament on the phone, apparently they will be running their own in house server so all of the machines will be effectively on a mini internet, from reading the forums about allegiance players have been told to download the latest version and create asgs accounts. It seems to me it is gonna be a case of them creating an i32 server like eu or planet and only people at the event with their machines connected to this server.
Please tell them to talk to an admin first. If they don't handle this well, it will cause serious headaches.
- players must not log in on another persons computer
- LAN Servers do not work in R3, they need the R2 server AND client
- One does not use ASGS for LAN play
- Internet servers need their IP cleared before connecting to the lobby
- More than five(?) players from the same IP are NOT allowed in ASGS. One can ask for a clearance though.

They'll run into problems if they try to connect to our servers and they're all from the same IP. Hopefully they're not though.

I don't mind exceptioning that event for the weekend to ensure they can play on our servers though.

Funky, it's only a couple of hours from me. Which direction will you be coming from Aaron/crafty?

I'm checking first thing in the morning to see if I can get a couple of days off.

Not going, too many British people. They'd make me pay tea tax or some other demeaning act or event. Anything to keep the colonials down.

Ducky, will you be wearing a tall dragoon hat and a crimson cloak?
