Actually I didn't even notice this. I was just curious as to the reason I never saw any @cdt tooling around dropping probes.Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jul 22 2007, 08:23 PM) Evening:
Cadets normally observe games until they are told to specifically to play. If you referring to to Iceberg, he was only in a heavy interceptor for 41 seconds according to the stats. He came back to base and he stayed there for the rest of the game.
I think it may be better for them to be able to particpate in at least one game to really see what the higher level squad gameplay is like (maybe right before graduation?)
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Here goes. This is from the Cadet forums:
With time we have modified how Cadets can observe a real squad game. PM the squad advisor or SL. Ask if you could observe their next game. For the last couple of months most squads will allow you to actually fly and participate on the team. (Some might ask you to do it the old way, sit in base and watch only) Almost every squad will allow you on their TS (teamspeak) channel to listen in. Download TS and have it working prior to you showing up for a match.
Your ability to watch/play with a squad is determined also by the player balance. If one team is short, you might not be able to join. Just a forewarning.

Heh.
Wow, that's a change.
I remember absolutely panicking when the opposing team blew up the base I was sitting in and I had to fly to the nearest. I seem to recall I was apologizing profusely over All chat for slipping up and not moving to the next base when it became obvious that the bomb run would succeed.
I was so scared I'd get booted for being out of base /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
