actually you can get away with it. JGbaxter holds about a 85% boot ratio. So almost 1 person per game commanded.Elephanthead wrote:QUOTE (Elephanthead @ Jun 28 2007, 04:10 PM) If you command properly and yell at people and boot the useless you will get banned by a carebear.
I'm sitting at about 20%
although some games I am severely tempted

Commanding isn't any fun for me.
I don't really think being able to boot more freely would make it better, though.
Sad to hear that Lyk and we agree booting for the sake of discipline solves nothing.
Ssssh
It seems like there really isn't an easy solution.
Allegiance is a competitive game by it's very nature and no one wants to be the losing team all the time.
What do you think of the a Commander imbalance flag? Do you think something that force the commanders to be similar ranks would help or hurt?
Pros that I see:
- keeps commanders skill levels even
- helps promote mid level commanders by ensuring they won't get a higher level comm against them
Cons:
- could make finding a commander that much longer to start a game
- may promote mass leaves to new servers instead of promoting the new commanders
- in game drops could potentally leave very few players able to take command
I would want to see something like this as a flagable option and not a forced rule. This is an option more aimed at the novice to intermidate levels, I doubt vets would use it that often unless they wanted to ensure a vet commander.

Agreeing with me makes YOU a NakPuppy. The leader of the NakPuppies is simply known as NakPPI thank you very much. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Welcome to the club KG and Grim. In all seriousness, if players would listen to orders and not fly in circles I would command. I think I already said that. /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

I conservatively estimate when I boot for discipline often times team efficiency increases at least 75%. People are SUDDENLY very eager to probe and nan.MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Jun 28 2007, 06:08 PM) Sad to hear that Lyk and we agree booting for the sake of discipline solves nothing.
But then again I have commanded many more games than both of you combined so it could just be a sheer numbers thing
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
