On a sidenote: there is noone on this planet that has even vague idea about how combat in 'real space enviroment' could look like and what tactics could be used. Reason: noone ever fought in the frigging space. Are you sure 'rocket scientists' didn't watch too many sf? Besides, this is a frigging game, it can apply any rules the developers think are good for the gameplay. And as for 'space flight simulations', the name is sorta misleading, as the only 'space flight sim' was the little game (very hard one) that simulated shuttle. Yeah, the NASA one.

Noone is ever 'supposed' to respect anyone. Respect is not something you get by default, you earn or loose it. We don't disrespect newbies here, contrary, we have the best newbie training resources I've seen in an online game. I see your nick on the new Cadet class list, that's good. I hope that while going through it, you'll tone down a bit.

A few comments:

1. THIS THREAD DELIVERS!!

2. I've been playing games for over 20 years and we don't give a @#(! that you've been playing for 15.

3. Once you and your friends have played for about 2-3 years will you have a snowball's chance in hell against the real vets.

4. This community has had so many newb $#@!tards that everyone sees you as just "this year's model" and reply to you simply to have fun.

5. I played this game in beta, left, came back when it was first free, left, and have been back now for 2 years (on and off). You have no idea how far this game has come thanks to the hardworking community of players, testers, programmers, designers, skinners, modelers, admins and sqauds. Without these people you wouldn't have a forum to bitch on as well as no $#@!ing game to play either. Show some god damn respect and maybe, just maybe, you might get some help, learn how the game is played and eventually scream at a comm that you want hvy ints to whore newbs or you're leaving the team.

6. Leave the DP666+1 tag behing you unless you want an alter ego to forum troll with now and then so we can all say OMG I REMEMBER THAT GUY!

Unfortunately, the damage has been done. Even if someone did mistreat you, two wrongs don't make a right. I'd highly take Karandor's last suggestion and act upon it if you decide to stick around. You probably won't live it down otherwise.

EDIT: Actually, if you just came out and apologized to everyone for being a little hotheaded, they'd prob understand and forgive you. There are some a-holes in the community that might not accept but I'm sure 95% will forget it and move on. I’m to lazy to read the whole thread but what I got out of it is you come in with a bad attitude…people flame you for a bad attitude…you say your attitude is fine and everyone else has a bad attitude…maybe everyone else is right and you are wrong this one time?

Helpful advice is just apologize – say you were just clueless and try to change your attitude (like Andon and BoG have done mostly successfully) and enjoy the game.
