I hate it too. Often they feel guilty and come back to get you when you have done 3.5k of the 5k walk to base. If they do I like to annoy them by sidethrusting out of the way just as they are about to pick me up. Ha.

Its also annoying when a friendly scans you from about 4,000m away to recuse you when you're about 500m from the space station.

Big deal, even if they pick you up it doesnt mean they will be your buddy, and he still dint pick you up when he was done fighting, plus i almost poded shiz once, its easy.
